And she posted in our team’s mentoring group about it!

After she told us what she did, she wrote:

“It was not near as bad as I thought it would be!”

And I chimed in…

and told her to know do that 3 more times, and it won’t even phase her anymore.

And it’s true.

To be successful in network marketing,

or in life in general,

We need to do What Scares us most in our business, life, etc.

 and then do it again.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I Challenge You Today:

What things do you Know you Should be doing that Frightens you in your Business?

Write them down.

Write them ALL down!

These might include,

talking to people.

calling people

giving out a sample in person

asking for a referral.

Once you have them written down,

I want you to pick one.

And then Do it.

Just once everyday for the next week.

Then,

once you become comfortable with that and it no longer scares you.

Pick another one of your list.

And Do it.

Everyday for a week.

Then,

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Conquer those fears one by one, little by little until the things that fear you are even crazier, bigger things…

That, my friend, is the secret to success in your business, and in life!

Well, the truth is…. I had nothing to say when I came back….

Not because I didn’t learn anything….

but honestly because what I learned….

I was not sure how to put into words….

It was an amazing experience!

One of my teammates and I are getting off stage for our National Director Walk.

Do you go to your company’s events?

One thing I learned is that going is NOT an option!

If you plan to be a success within your company, you MUST go.

I almost didn’t go to this event.

But I am serious about my business and this company…

and one thing my Mentor Diane Hochman has said from the first day I found her online, is “Act As If, And Go As Though…”

And what that means is…

Will you go to event when you make 10,000 a month?

Will you do team trainings when you make 10,000 a month?

Then do that NOW!  No matter if you make $10,000, $5,000 or Zero Dollars!

You must act as IF you already make $10,000 a month in order to MAKE $10,000 a month.  You must Go as Though you already make $10,000 a month to MAKE $10,000 a month!

So what did I learn by going?

Well, I work with my team on a daily basis… we are on the phone, conference lines, webinars, facebook, text, etc.  But we all live all over the country.  There is nothing out there that can take the place of personal interaction.  Seeing these  girls in person and being able to give them a hug, was just priceless!

I also learned that I was 1,000% in the right place, with the right company and the right team!  Attending your company’s live events are going to either show you that you are NOT in the right place, or that you absolutely are.  And if you are, you will come back with a crazy pride, and drive for your business that will NOT allow you to fail.

I was surrounded by fellow entrepreneurs who all have the same mindset and for the most part the same goals.  Where else can you go and be in a room of people who all “get” what you are doing… it is the most amazing, most energizing feeling you will ever feel.  It is a feeling that you will carry back home with you and when your dream crusher family and friends try to squash those dreams of yours.  It won’t matter.  You will have so much belief you will not be able to be stopped!

But, recently I have met a couple people online who were….

And more importantly, my team has been asking me…

how do I continue to meet new people to help when I get blocked?

So here are my answers…

First, make sure you don’t look “fake” or like a “spammy” profile…..

-Have a profile picture that is YOU

- Don’t have a ton of links all over your page with your business opp or product

-Have real conversations on your profile page…. your page should look/feel like a cool place to hangout…

the above suggestions are going to ensure people look over your page and decide you are “ok” to accept as a friend.  :)

When Friending:  

-Shoot a message and let them know how you found them

-Let them know WHY they stood out to you in the first place (you like the same kinds of books, you lived in their hometown growing up, etc)

- Even better, is to shoot them a message first, start up a conversation and THEN if that is going good and you decide you really like this person,would want to be friends with them in real life, then ask them in the conversation to request YOU…  Bam!  Brilliant, right?  ha ha!

Then they are doing the request and it doesn’t even count as your request!

I use these tactics all the time, and I have never been banned, and I almost always am accepted by those I request.

Simple… takes a bit more effort, but worth the extra step!

BUT, I finally caved.

I am officially a Pinterest Addict!

Not sure what I am talking about?  Go HERE to find out.

It’s an online pinboard.

Where you can pin your interests….. “Pinterest”….

Get it?

Cool, right?

So I resisted, then I gave in.  I asked for an invite..

and the rest was history. 

Clearly I am not the only one.  Pinterest is now claiming fame to the being the social network to hit over 10 Million monthly views the fastest!

So what is the appeal you ask?

Well, I personal think it is a mix between the dreamer and the wanna be organizer. 

You can create yourself a perfect world all within pinterest.

I will admit, I am a dreamer…

But there is another side that appeals to me…. the wanna-be organizer in me!

I am always surfing the net, making mental notes of what things really tickled my goat.

And creating little scraps of paper with websites scribbled on to “go visit again”

But Pinterest just makes it TOO easy!

Just click the nice PIN IT button,

Chose a Board,

Save Pin

and

Walla!  Never to be forgotten again.

But here is where the magic comes in…. people Re-Pin.

So there is a GREAT opportunity to go Viral Here!

Especially for businesses!  According to a New York Times Article published HERE

You can with a couple clicks of your mouse, add a price banner to a picture on Pintrest,

Which of course the picture can lead back to your website   Awesome.

Now, I don’t suggest you become blatantly salesy here…

But I do highly suggest you get started on Pinterest and give your brand a presence there.

I don’t believe Pinterest is going to be a Fad.  I think it will hang around a while… and I think the numbers (10 Million Unique Monthly Views) prove this fact.

The secret to making it in your home based business is your mindset.

You can learn all the tricks and master all the tools….

But if you don’t have control over that mind of yours… you might as well forget it.

If I had to pick what the number 1 thing someone needs to make it big in network marketing… THIS would be it!

And how cool is that?  That this is the only true skill/talent you need!

Now, I won’t lie to you… I have always been an optimist.  BUT this doesn’t mean that I don’t have my bad days or my poor me moments.  This doesn’t mean there aren’t times that I feel the whole world is against me.  BUT, I just decide to get happy, brush it off, and get my mind right again.

The cool thing is… you can LEARN this… You can!

My top tips for getting your mind right: 

Personal Development- read and listen to audios that help you grow as an individual.

Hanging around the right people- find those who are positive and successful and spend most of your time listening to them, hanging with them.

Getting rid of excuses- Just STOP!  Realize that no matter WHAT seems to be standing in your way, there is someone out there that has it worse than you, and MANY people out there who have had it worse than you and have overcome!

Deciding to be Happy- Simple- put a freaking smile on your face and be grateful for all the good you DO have in your life…. again… there is always someone out there who has it worse than you do.

Now that we have those all out of the way, we HAVE to talk about Daily Routines!  You can’t have a blog and just let it sit.  Or if you REALLY want to make money with this blog, you MUST create a following… you MUST create content (good content works best) and you MUST do this daily!

You need to come up with the daily tasks needed for your business and your blog.  I don’t know what tasks you need to do daily… you will best know that… but what I DO know is that you NEED to set the tasks and you MUST be sure to do them DAILY.  Every day.  Or don’t go to bed.

Here are some suggested tasks:

Post 3 times a week/Daily.  Create a blog, video, audio each day or a minimum of 3 times a week

Make 10 new online connections/friends/leads daily

email your list a few times a week

Keep yourself in the front of the mind of your followers.  This way when they are ready to purchase… YOU are there!
